Can you help identify this plant?? It just keeps spreading, and we haven't been able to get rid of it...

https ://drive.google.com/open?id=0B3N7o4GGdk9HZkw2U0J6dTlOUWc

There is a space between these https ://, which needs to be deleted and then the link to the picture of the plant/weed/triffid will work!

You are new, so it may not be possible, but you can try uploading to here:

    https://dumpyourphoto.com/

Then post the code they give you here.

Bear's Breeches (Acanthus mollis) ...and I'll get rid of that photo which seems to be having a strange effect on the page!

I thought at first it might be Acanthus, but the leaves look too rounded and more like oak. How big is the plant and does it ever flower?

Well it could also be Acanthus hungaricus...but whatever it is, it's an acanthus.

It doesn't seem welcome either, so maybe the correct ID isn't that important. :(

    I like them! :)

I love them too, I think the flowers are beautiful especially to give height at the back of a border. Unfortunately I don't have any as OH isn't so keen on them. :(

  • Many thanks to all of you for your help!! We haven't had any flowers yet, but it looks like that's it...

It does look good, maybe we will keep it, but we might not as it's next to a new damson tree which we want to protect, and another one is growing among a new japonica plant...

Many thanks once again for your help, its much appreciated!!
