Travel journal/diary recommendations

I'm going away for a few weeks and want to record my trip, both for myself afterwards and for family while I'm away. Can anyone recommend the best way to do this? It will just be photos with a few descriptive mutterings from me, not for public consumption other than my lot.
I will have internet access probably every few days, I thought of a blog but don't you have to have to be online while you're doing it? I want to do my mutterings and photos then upload wherever I can get free wifi.
I know there are several online travel journals but not sure which would be good - any recommendations or is there a simpler way to do this?
Thanks
DS

Email with a few photos attached as it's just for F&F?
You can write the mutterings whilst off-line in (say) MS Word then cut and paste into email when on -line.0 -
Hmm, yes thanks, I did think of doing something like that. I think I'd rather just put it out there so they can look if they're interested and not if they're not, if you see what I mean! An email somehow supposes they're interested and also prompts a reply, and I don't want them to feel they have to take notice!!0

Anything that is shared is going to require you to be online at the point of posting it however you can evidently write your blog posts/ emails etc whilst you are offline and post them up to t'internet when you have connectivity.0
