Advantage Finance Hire Purchase

Hi all,
Back in 2012 I bought my car on Hire Purchase. I needed a larger car for work. I found a place near work that had the car that I wanted and they arranged financing for me.
The car was on sale for £6,999 they offered me £1000 part ex on my old car which I took.
The finance company called me and went through all their terms etc. They said I couldn't get the financing if I didn't get the payment protection and some other warranty. Which brought the total per month I would be paying to £243 per month for 4 years.
I was wondering if I can claim the payment protection back? Not sure if its PPI or Gap insurance or whatever. I have been having difficulty finding the paperwork. But is it possible? I am paying almost £12,000 back.
Any advice would help greatly.

I would have made that decision before agreeing to the loan, and declined the loan?0

I agree but at the time I was thinking it was fine.0

so at the time YOU thought it was fine, so where's the miss sellingDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0

I thought that it was they only way they would give me the loan and that I could cancel the ppi afterwards. As I would not need it.0
