Continue stakeholders or just have LGPS?

Right, bear with me, I wish I had half an idea what I was talking about!
I paid into local Government Pension scheme for 8 years, I then left and became self employed for 5 years during which time I took out a stakeholder pension. I returned to local Government work (part time) a few years ago and so paid into the scheme whilst continuing with my stakeholder pension.
The thing is we are moving house and every penny will count especially to start with, should I quit my stakeholder pension as I now pay into the LGPS? Something is telling me that if I can I should continue to pay both but also that if the LGPS is sufficient I could stop as £125 a month would be very handy when we move!!
The stakeholder pension s are with Scottish widows.
My total LGPS years are about 15 with 2 different boroughs.
I am 37.
