London to Galway help please!

Need to get from London to Galway by car. Is the best and quickest route London - Holyhead then ferry to Dublin and on to Galway or is one of the Welsh Ports a quicker and easier option?

That sounds the best route to me, given that you'll probably want motorways or dual carriageways for most of the trip.
By the way, Holyhead is a Welsh port too.0 -
It's the route that I used on my only motoring trip to Ireland, although I think you should invest in a decent atlas if you're unsure which country Holyhead is in
