My Bank (HSBC) turned up at court today!!!!

I had my day in court today, it could have gone better.

When I turned up I was approached by a man representing HSBC saying he was going to ask for a stay. I assumed he was just trying it on but the Judge did decide to delay the claim till the outcome of the high court test case (but not necessarily any subsequent appeals). In a way it might have been the best decision because I was not expecting anyone to turn up and I did not feel prepared to go head to head with a qualified lawyer but I’m annoyed that I will have to wait till next year to have a chance of getting my money back, all the time with debts hanging over me and a bad credit rating.

The Judge said it was the only case he was aware of where both parties had turned up!!! Is this correct?

Has anybody else had a similar experience?
