How long is a piece of string?

Are you planning on eating all meals at the hotel or will you want to eat out occasionally? Same with drinks, are you stayng in the hotel mainly or will you be going out and about where you will have to pay? Are you planning on going on any excursions? And finally, how long are you staying for?
    :p
  • Thanks Beanie I know it was rather vague question. Going for one week. Mainly meals at hotel. Possibly one or two excursion.

It might be a good idea to find out if there's a cash point near your hotel so you can get money out if you don't have enough

What debit and credit cards do you have - you may be able to draw cash as you need it rather than take a chunk with you.

My family of three can do two weeks AI on less than £200 spending money.

Cost of excursions will be on the tour company's web site.

Location of ATM and type of bank cards can determine a fall back position if you need to spend more.

Have done 2 AI, our only spend was on a hire car to escape the monotony.

Excursions can usually be paid by card.

It would have been possible to stay in the hotel and spend aboslutely nothing.
  • It might just be me, but when I have foreign currency in my pocket I feel obliged to spend it.

Take a 50-100 euros as change (airports/taxi/a drink) and a debit card in case you decide to have a meal out or go on an excursion. Seeing as you've paid for all inclusive you probably won't need a huge amount of spending money.
