My kale looks ready but I thought it was for Autumn/ winter?

In April I planted out Kale grown from seed in my greenhouse, its a dwarf curly variety and already is about two feet high, and looks ready to harvest, I thought Kale was for later in the year. Should I be harvesting some now?

I grow Dwarf Green Kale but it always seems to grow a good 3ft high, I usually sow it in March or April but this year I waited until June and have just potted the seedlings on. Hopefully it will be ready to plant out in two or three weeks time. Even when I have planted it out in June it isn't ready to pick until November but it should overwinter until next February or March when if the weather is good it will start growing fresh new leaves.
