EE Broadband - £100 leaving charge!?

Good morning all,

I would like some help and hope someone can advise.

I initially renewed my EE broadband and line rental in August 2014 but hadn't checked any bills. I was getting a credit each month of £7ish (as they accidently applied a double discount). In march they clicked on and have since been charging me around £25 per month to balance it out. I got quite fed up and decided to take up the Moneysavingexpert Sky Broadband deal.

EE have written to me saying because my Contract finishes in August 2015, they will charge £99 disconnection cost plus any outstanding months. This sounds ridiculous as it was them who had a system error and have wasted a lot of my time sending letters / email and making numerous phonecalls. I do not wish to pay the £99 charge (dont mind paying the remaining months costs). Please can someone advise where I stand legally.

The bills were so messy I had to ring to get them to explain. Please see this extract of the first bill i recieved

    You seriously expect them to waive the ETC because your 'bills are messy'?
    It's not a disconnection charge, it's an early termination charge for breaching your minimum term contract.
    No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)
