Have all the right stuff for 'super fast' broadband at the flat I bought earlier this year. Its in a development of at least 100 other flats BUT BT is saying that the exchange cabinate needs to be upgraded before I can get superfast broadband.

Anyone know if this is sort term thing or its BT's way of saying its never going to be done? Or at least years away?

Is there a way of finding out where in the queue you are at least a time frame?

No, because it depends on demand-if enough people are prepared to sign up then they'll upgrade.
The dates given on the OR site for your cab are estimates only, and they frequently get moved.
Standard BT Infinity (FTTC) requires nothing different at the property. The fibre conection terminates at the street cab and then good old fashioned copper forms the final link.
