I am with talktalk and have fibre optic. Because I've had a few issues of late, I have been sent me a new router. The set-up seems to be straight forward except one thing.

In my conversation with the TT people, I told them I have an open-reach modem and their tt router, they said the router they would send me would do both things and the open-reach wouldn't be required. With this in mind, reading their set-up booklet "Already on TalkTalk Fibre" I am advised to unplug and disconnect both, but no-where does it say "you won't need the Open-reach modem again" nor anything about reconnecting it.

If I hadn't caught that part of the information when speaking to the TT rep, I would be unsure what to do. I am now needing confirmation about this. If you can offer this reassurance, I would be grateful, thanks in anticipation.
