Hi I was wondering if people could give me some info.. I have been slowly trying to regain a good credit history until recently I checked it against noodle and saw it was ranked number 1 the lowest out of 5. I have wrote to creditors and I am slowly making some payments but discovered that a family member has taken out around 6 doorstop lender loans out in my name which has destroyed what little good credit I had. I cannot repot this as its a close family member and don't want to cause trouble so I basically had to take the debt on the chin. And offer minimum payments thing is do they keep the minimum Payment of a pound every mounthfor the lifetime of the debt or do they eventually wipe it from the credit file as I'm desperate to get my credit back on track

So you are paying for someone else's debt because they used your name?
That doesn't seem right! I would certainly address it, that is terrible, and if I am not mistaken some sort of fraud.Total Debt in Feb 2015 - £6,052 | DEBT FREE 26/05/2017Swagbucks £200 Valued Opinions £100Dave Ramsey Baby Step 2 | Mr Money Mustache Addict0 -
Yes, that is terrible, and you should be reporting it as fraud (to the police and Action Fraud.)
I appreciate you'd not wish to get a (close) family member into 'trouble' but they've gotten you into it by ruining your credit history. It's not your credit score that counts, it's your credit history. Any replies are my own personal opinion and not a representation of my employer.0
