High Mileage Lease?

Im in a changing situation at the moment and really need some advice on how to best sort out obtaining a new car..
Im currently blessed (tax aside!) with a company vehicle, but this is due to change in three months to a £6k car allowence. I will be roughly covering 35k-40k miles per year.
So this puts me in a tough position... What to do? Im sure this has probably been answered before but i have additional issues. My credit rating is slowly improving thanks to taking a bashing in my youth, thankfully its now on the up, but this may have an impact on the rates i can obtain.
Im in a position where i can put a lump sum down upfront (£3k) but I need to have a very reliable machine with as little hasle as possible.
PCP seems like a good idea, as i am not too bothered about ownership, chance are i will change every 2 years, i can also get a better car on PCP costs compare to a purchase.
Any advice?
Thanks

There is a really good thread on Pistonheads about great lease deals, might be worth checking in there, from what I have seem the advice seems to be go for the deal and not a specific model of car.0
