Hot Water Warm not Hot - Unvented / pressurised cylinder

Hi All

For the last 3 days the hot water is just warm not piping hot like it used to be, we shower with the temperature control completely to the max and still just warmish water comes out.

Any ideas what could be wrong ? System was put in 3 years ago with a pressurised cylinder (Elson Zircon (Baxi) the kind with a separate expansion), something I can do to resolve ?

Many Thanks in Advance

Is it only the shower which is running cool or is all hot water the same?

So is the boiler actually getting hot, have you checked the boiler pressure gauge to ensure that the circulating water is adequate. Make sure the thermostat is working and check that the motorised diverter valve is opening & closing correctly.

It appears that hot water isn't circulating in the tank heating coil so you have to find out what is going wrong. It's unlikely to be the tank itself so the problem will be with the boiler or the controls.

Run the C/H to see if the radiators are heating properly. If they are then check the hot-water thermostat and the diverter valve operation.
