Better of two evils default / partial settlement marker on the default?

Hi,

I've got two creditors who I've managed to get F&F figures for, both of which will mark the debt as Partially Settled - both of these debts defaulted at the same time, therefore will leave my credit report next year (6 years after default) regardless of whether it's settled/not paid or partially settled?

I don't think I'll need any credit between now and the defaults dropping off - did just get accepted for a Barclaycard 6.6k limit which allowed me to balance transfer (36 months interest free) about 2k from Aqua, Vanquis and Capital One.

My real question is this - if I did need credit - what would look better from a creditors point of view? A default which is slowly getting paid @ £40 per month or a default which has been partially satisfied?

Anyone with experience or in the know - I would greatly appreciate the help :)

Thanks,
