Cancel Oyster season ticket

How would I go about cancelling a TLF season ticket on my oyster card? Is it simply a case of going to the station, and receiving a pro-ratered cheque for the unused amount?

On the TfL website you will find:
Season ticket on Oyster no longer needed

We'll normally refund the remaining value of a Travelcard or Bus & Tram Pass season ticket you don't need any more, but as soon as you've stopped using it, you should do one of the following:

    - Cancel your ticket or hand back your Oyster card at a Tube station ticket office
    - Post us your Oyster card
    - Call Customer Services

Your Oyster card will be stopped and you won't be able to use it again if you post it, or call Customer Services to get a refund.

If you want to carry on using your Oyster card, you'll need to get your season ticket cancelled at a Tube station ticket office.

Love the advice - pity that it will no longer be possible to cancel your season ticket at a station ticket office as within months they will all be shut.

Instead of queuing at a ticket office, passengers will use ticket machines. For some transactions staff will need to authorise the transaction.

    Just phone them.

You don't need to use a ticket office , the upgraded ticket machines have the same functions as the machines in the ticket office, except they're available all day, just ask the person on the gate line to help, they can't pull a blind down on you.
