Rapid Reclaim ESA

Options
Please someone with knowledge of ESA explain –

How does the Rapid Reclaim for ESA work?
What are the forms etc to fill in?
Whether you need ‘Fit notes’ again?
Which rate will she restart on?

A friend was on ESA SG and tried working but it was too much for her health and quit. She is partially sighted and disabled wants to fill in form than phone. It is within 12 weeks.

Thank you

    tomtontom, thank you.

I have read the previous threads, but it says she doesn't need a 'fit note'? Is this case, normally one needs to provide a 'fit note' with the ESA1 form?

    Thanks

If reclaiming within 12 weeks the claims will link and there should be no need to provide a fit note. There used to be a problem with the system which could prevent reclaims being taken over the phone. That had supposedly been fixed and doing it over the phone would be the quickest way.
It seems odd for somebody who is partially sighted to want to use a claim form, but that is their decision.
They will go back on at the same rate they were on the previous claim.

TELLIT01, thank you for your advice.

Is there a link that says she doesn't need a 'fit note' within 12 weeks?

Otherwise, she will have to arrange an appointment with her GP.

    Thanks

I should qualify my previous response. An initial fit note may be required to prove incapacity, but once the claim is processed and the claimant is back in the Support Group no further certificates should be required.
