In other words it's a typical threatogram as usually sent by debt collectors. :)

So not really anything to worry about? What would you suggest to do? I am not sure of the best route to take, some people have just said ignore it but I would much prefer to address and resolve the matter. Is it true that they are not legally enforceable anyway?

I would assume that payment is being requested to DRP in this case and not even to PCM?

Send a denial of debt letter to both Gladstones and DRP stating the alleged debt is denied and that the matter should be referred back to the principal and that further action will be defended and reported to further bodies including Trading Standards.

Send a copy of Gladstone's letter to the SRA stating that you believe that Gladstones are issuing letters / authorising use of letterhead by a third party who is unconnected with any perceived original debt. State that this is blatant misrepresentation of authority and a breach of the Solicitors Code of Conduct - the debt is denied and that any further action will be vigorously defended.

I think the mention of DRP in the thread title tells us what we need to know about this "Gladstone's" letter!

Would the below be a bit better? I understand my letter is a bit angry but I am quite distressed receiving a letter of this kind.

Further to your letter dated XXX, I wouldlike to voice my absolute disgust at receiving such a threatening and harassingletter with no basis or strength to the allegations. ... has been investigated and the letter receivedfrom your company was an administrative error.

    Yours sincerely,
