Unless it was in view of a camera I doubt if you'll get anything. Although you'd be more likely to get away with stopping for a couple of minutes, 15 minutes is pushing it, was there a reason why you stopped there?

What makes you think you were caught?

You would be better to ask if the council concerned uses camera enforcement for parking. This is enacted over and above the normal parking regs, so whilst many councils have got it in place, quite lot still have to do so.

I thought using cameras to issue parking tickets had been banned, in most cases, by the Gov?

    Where was it?

Check the local council's website or Google for the location of PTZ (pan, tilt and zoom) cameras, which are often used for parking enforcement.

Also, why did you park? Were you unloading/loading (which if you can prove by doing so, and there weren't within any time restrictions, is permissible)? Or were you dropping off/collecting passengers, also permissible - though 15 min to do this is pushing it.

Just wait and see. If you don't get a ticket, then no worries.

As an aside, what sort of condition were the DYLs in ?. to be leagal, they need to be 2 continuous yellow lines beginning/ending with 'T' bars.

If there are any breakes (even where people/cars have worn them away), they are not enforceable anyway.

I thought they overruled that worn patches and small breaks are still valid.

A woman used that excuse for years on one of the parking shows, She got another ticket and appealed it on those grounds and lost/

They have, basically if they look like yellow lines to the layman then they are.
