Would you expect a EICR report for the Electrican to go in the roof?

Just wondering if with a electrical installation condition report you would expect the Electrican to have a look in the roof space at any electrics?

As mine does not seem to have done? (if this is normal that is fine)

Thanks

What electric are in the roof space?

If just cables feeding the ceiling lights, then checking the ceiling lights would suffice I think.

Try posting here though for a sparkie's response.

No, it would not be expected. The installation is assessed based on the visible wiring, fittings, etc and by electrical testing via the consumer unit and fixed outlets/ fittings.

I don't agree, quite, with anselld. If loft access is easy (fixed ladder), yes I would expect inspection of cabling in attic. Anyway, my friendly electrician does so, reporting on state of cables and the like. But, he is good.
