Has anyone used CLAIMS FAST?
My car is insured with Ageas through AA. The Jazz needs repair to the rear section/s, possibly cosmetic & parking sensor damage, having been hit by a careless driver. The AA suggest I go through 'Claims Fast' rather than Ageas so I do not have to pay my Excess, I have to have a 'free' hire car which must be driven for added miles although I may not need it and I have to give my credit card number which is very worrying. They take the car away to access damage and it is not returned until repaired although drivable. No return date given making me feel it will be gone for sometime. I wanted a Honda repairer for guaranteed parts, they stated the company they use is Honda Approved but their website does not mention any brands. It all seems alarming. Any help or advice urgently required.

If something doesn't feel right about it then just go through your normal insurer0

Sounds like they are an accident management company, I prefer using them to my insurance, the other party seems to hurry along for a speedy resolve, I've never had to offer my CC number though, just proof of address etc for the hire car.0

I think the CC is to cover them if the claim fails. In this case, you foot the bill for the hire car. Check the small print.Je suis sabot...0

Claims Fast will be paying AA circa £350 in commission if you take the hire car which is better known as a "Credit Hire".
Technically if your car is still legally driveable, they should not be offering you the credit hire car except for the period your car is being repaired0 -
If you can, just claim and deal with the other driver's insurance assuming its their fault. It's the best way.
I really hate the way insurers now just want to get rid of you onto dodgy claims management companies that are only out to make £££s one way or another, not actually sort your claim out in the quickest, cheapest way. I think you can insist your own insurer deal with it, pay the excess, and then insist that they claim this back off the third party and pay you back. You'll have to be determined though as they won't like it.0
