scrap is down to next to nothing atm..

That's a shame, I remember a few years ago (well maybe 3 or so) I scrapped a written off micra (i'd bought back of ins. co. for £50 as its easier to go looking for cars when you have one), for £200.I'm guessing that was the 'top' of the market.

I got £165 for a rover 600 two years ago but just £90 for a Saab 93 in January.
  • Just got shot of a Chrysler Grand Voyager for £195 a few weeks ago.
1994 Merc, got £185 by the time I arranged it all (originally offered £195) think that was the tail end of last year.

    Both using Cartakeback.

In August I got £105 for a rover 25 diesel from a non breakers scrap yard. The big breakers yard would only offer me £70.

Put it on Ebay - state clearly MOT failure and list reasons for failure, state buyer to collect and location. Start off at 99p and put on for 7 days......... you will get more than a scrap yard, much much more.
