Advice on new current account

Hi

Are there an current accounts around that will match an overdraft limit?

We have three accounts with Abbey and are pig sick of them but we both have overdrafts of £1000 as we used to see them as a cheap borrowing source.

Will any banks match out current od if we set up new accounts?

Thanks

Rob

Alliance & Leicester offer an overdraft matching service if you open a Premier Direct (or Premier I think) current account with them and use their switching service to move your direct debits over. You have to pay in at least £500 a month to be eligible for the account, and you will need to send them proof that you had the overdraft limit you want them to match.

    HTH :)
  • A number of banks offer o/d matching but you have to pass the credit search.

I would not agree with OP that overdrafts are a source of cheap borrowing long term.
I use deals on credit cards for things like that.
