Cladding Quotes

Hello,
I've been quoted £1800 for cladding a dormer in Rosewood upvc.
I've been told it may blister in the sun as it's south facing.
They have told me white would fair better and be £1000 cheaper.
Is this reasonable?
Another point, if I took the waste from the build to the tip myself is it likely to reduce the cost, assuming the builder would be charged for this?

Any opinions or am I in the wrong board?0

I have yet to come across a upvc cladding job that has been done correctly. The industry is plagued by cowboys and dodgy characters. But if you wish to go ahead I would suggest avoiding the Rosewood - I would never recommend this colour if it is an exposed area to the sun. Hence the saving of £800 is highly recommended
There after it is impossible to comment on your price - forum users do not know the square metre area, nor the access requirements, not any cutting and flashing, nor what the cladding is being fixed to.
You do not mention ventilation, nor expansion, nor breather membranes, nor vapour membranes.
All this makes me wonder if you have carefully researched your proposals. Over to you on this one.0
