Privacy in back garden
Our landlord has just taken down a tree in our garden which provided privacy (had to be taken down). There are normal fence panels but it feels so bare! We can't fit any permanent fixtures. Any ideas what can give some height and privacy?
Never again will the wolf get so close to my door

This is for upstairs windows looking onto the whole garden! I feel like putting a wedding marquee on itNever again will the wolf get so close to my door :eek:0 -
You could buy a big fruit cage and grow some quick climbers over the outside, then sit inside it - or for instant privacy throw a tank camoflage net over it - they come in huge sizes http://www.anchorsupplies.com/camo-net-1/camo-netting-29ft-x-29ft.html
Or, a little more permanent, a pergola - maybe with a grapevine growing over it (grapevines grow really fast)

It's very difficult to create shelter from upstairs windows. Have you thought of something like a strategically placed parasol and table near where you intend to sit? Consider the sight line from you sitting, to the offending window. (I have a sunny little courtyard at the side of my house that is overlooked by a landing window and this worked for me. I know it's more difficult if there are many windows to consider. I just live with it in the back garden!
I have found that buddleias, willows and bamboos make quick, tall screens in big tubs if that's any help. The beautiful thing about learning is nobody can take it away from you.
Thanks to everyone who contributes to this wonderful forum. I'm very grateful for the guidance and friendliness that I always receive from you.
