I got over 40% off my car insurance

had my renewal in from a local broker at £333,fair enough I thought, tried hughes, abbey and a couple of the quidco links, managed to get it down to £248, phoned my broker and I quote "oh yes the company you are with is willing to price match any quote" so they matched it..............

so a few days later, I googled for car insurance northern ireland and came up with www.quotezone.co.uk .......... filled it in as per other screenscraper sites, it came up with endsleigh at £199....................

so I'm thinking theres no way my broker will match....................yep they did so my renewal has dropped from £333 to £199

apologies if quotezone has been mentioned before its been a long weekend and I'm too tired to dig through!

one final thing quinn direct were a WASTE OF TIME, £750 they came in at lol!!

confused.com produced an unbeatable quote from Endsleigh for my wife also.

Must remember quotezone come renewal time.

This year for the first time ever my best quote was with AA - they'd always been silly money before. Just shows it's def worth shopping around

Cheapest is not always best I have found to my cost. Only if and when you make a claim do you find that out.

Very true. If you have a brand new car - if it is written off or stolen at say six months old, many insurers will only give you the value of the car - that could be £10000 on a £15000 car.

Some insurers will give you 'new for old' therefore you will get the value of the new car. Worth asking the question...

have to agree with missile, cheapest isn't always best, but if you can use it as a big stick to beat your current insurer with then its always a bonus, i was reluctant to change brokers, so I'm glad they were sensible enough to pricematch
