Can anyone recommend somewhere to buy topsoil?

Comments

  • Hi there

Thistle building supplies in Edinburgh charge just under £40 for a bulk bag of 70/30 topsoil delivered. I purchased from them last year for my own lawn and was happy with what I received. You can order over the phone if you dont want to visit in person.

    Hope this helps.

Thanks, I will try them. We moved house 3 months ago and the lawn is really lumpy. I'm going to try topsoil but i might have to dig some of it up and re-seed.
  • Try ebay , in the gardening section . Iny local area (West Midlands) three seperate people were giving tons of it away free to anyone who collected .

Just a thought that all topsoil will have as many weed seeds as the place it comes from. If you want it "weed free" then you need sterilised loam. It is dearer though.

Great, just thought I'd mention it as some people expect weed free from topsoil. Have fun.
