What would you do?

I was lucky enough to get a winning email on the 5th march to tell me i had won an amazing competition

They asked me to confirm my address etc, which i did.

They thanked me and said they would be in touch soon, i sent them another email on monday

I have never heard anything since

It's not very often i am lucky enough to win so i am so excited about this, i don't want to mention the company at the moment in case they read this.

So what happens now, do i just wait? or would you contact them again, i don't want to seem like i am pestering them or begging for the prize, it's not like i bought it, i feel uncomfortable and cheeky.

What would you do?

Thank you

Wait a bit as it's not been two weeks yet. I've won comps where I've waited almost 2 months before receiving my prize.

Maybe give it another week and then email them again. Three weeks seems a reasonable 'pester' time.

Then if you get no reply again try posting on their facebook page or facebook PM saying 'I've been trying to contact ****** via email but not had any reply. I'm not sure my emails are getting through. Can you help me please?'

I've tried that and the prize landed 48 hours later.

Thank you MaineBlue, i will wait a little longer, they haven't mentioned anything about delivery or anything, just said they would be in touch soon

I just thought they may of said, your prize will be sent on the such of date, or please allow 28 days etc, but nothing.

That's the bit i'm confused about?

    Thank you

Unless it's something time specific (tickets or travel involved), I wouldn't contact them until at least a month is up. I'm waiting on 2 prizes from WEMs from Feb.
    TOP MONEYSAVING TIP

Make your own Pot Noodles using a flower pot, sawdust and some old shoe laces. Pour in boiling water, stir then allow to stand for two minutes before taking one mouthful, and throwing away. Just like the real thing!

    Hi GeeBee38
Well done on the win. Good advice from others.

If you do have to hasten them,mMy additional suggestion is to assume that these people are very busy and, without being obsequious, to prompt them gently.

Sort of something like "I was contacted a few weeks ago about (add subject) but I have not received anything yet. Grateful for an update please?"
    Still cracking on....

It still hasn't been 28 days yet - I'm still waiting for a win since January - give it until at least 5th April!
    Thanks to all posters :A
