Best regular courier/postal service

My boyfriend has got to the stage of selling rather a lot of items online, and now seems the time for him to streamline his costs.

So, I wondered if any of you very experiened people have any recommendations for a good sending service.

The items he sells are realitively smalll (approx 50cm x 30cm x 30cm) and not particularily heavy. He would be in a position to be sending out anything from 2 items a week to 1000! Its very seasonal!

So, really looking for a cheap and reliable way..Not really Royal Mail.

The problem is with a changing amount you wouldn't be able to attract a regular courier to discount for you. Some of the big Amazon sellers for instance have negotiated not only with couriers but with Royal mail to get huge discounts but then they can guarantee a sack load of mail for collection every day.

For one off items I am currently looking into using payperdrop on ebay, £5.99 per item to be shipped within central UK within 1-2 days with a weight limit up to 32kg.

If £5.99 would be a suitable price then look at the couriers on ebay, if that seems expensive then you might have to stick with Royal mail or parcel force.

The only other thing to consider is whether you have a place where items can be collected at any time ..PPD don't give you a collection time, just a date.
