I currently have a sim only contract and want to get a new phone contract and transfer my number. I would then like to let my son use the sim only contract in his phone.
My question is whether it is possible to do 2 simultaneous number ports?
1. my number transferred to new contract phone
2.sons number transferred to my sim only contract
Is this possible and if not possible how best to go about it.
Thanks in advance

No, your sim only contract will terminate and no longer be active once you port your number to your new contract and you cannot port to a terminated number.
Your son will need to start a new sim only contract to port to.====0 -
Thanks for the reply. Bit annoying really as its a 12 month sim contract and I wanted to give him the residue months.0

You can't (and remember, you will need to pay an early termination fee for those months upon porting).====0 -
Your only option is to set up a new contract based on your sons usage requirements but with the phone you want. When you get it you put your existing sim into your new phone (thereby keeping the same number) and give your son the new sim to which he ports his existing number.
This assumes your new phone is either on the same network as before or comes unlocked should you be changing to a new provider. When your existing contract ends you could then set up a new sim only contract to suit your requirements and transfer your number across.0
