It's time for me to switch suppliers, and Extra Energy are showing as the cheapest on uSwitch. Has anyone had a good or bad experience with them? I've never heard of them, and the projected annual cost is only £15 less than Sainsburys so would rather not have the hassle if they're completely useless.
Thanks

The recent feedback from its customers hasn't been good: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/49244240

I switched to them in November.
It's been great so far! Monthly DDs taken have been much lower than previous supplier.
I've provided regular readings.
Last week, a guy came around to read the meters officially in advance of my 6 month bill being sent out so I await that with interest...0 -
Hi guys
Suggest you read the thread as quoted by cklass. The company administration, customer service and complaints handling is absolutely appalling!
Thankfully have now moved away from them, along with the 5 friends / colleagues that switched to them last April; be interesting to see how long we still have to wait for a (final) bill.
Would not use this company again!0 -
They're fine if you don't like getting bills or being able to do anything at all in the online account.
A lot of people that signed up to them last year when they were the cheapest have now left, myself included
They do have forum reps who have popped in every now and then to help people depending on the weather (they seem to pop in, help for a short time and then vanish without a trace only to pop back 6 weeks later)0 -

Hopefully the wait is not as long as me waiting for my final bill!0 -

DO NOT SWITCH TO EXTRA ENERGY, they might be cheaper but you won't get a bill from them and when you leave them you have to beg and chase them for weeks on end to get the final bill and if you are lucky, get back any money you are owed.0
