Lupin seedlings

Hi -wonder if someone can help. Bought some lupin seeds off Amazon, and planted few weeks ago, seeds looked very lupin like (pea shaped). All have germinated, initial leaves were like large rounded leaves, but second set also appear to be coming out similar. Sowed lupins previously and they all start with the spiked lupin shaped leaves. Any ideas?

Nearly all seedlings have a set of 'initial leaves' which are very rudimentary (often plain round or oval), just to start the plant off, then they start producing leaves which are more like the ones on an adult plant. Your first set will be those initial leaves - (there's a special name for them but I can't remember it). So theoretically they should look like this:
It does sound unusual that your second set is also round though. I grew some lupins from seed a couple of years ago and they had the usual two roundish initial leaves but the next set were miniature lupin 'hands' (very cute). I'd wait for the third set in case they're a mutant batch and if they are round also I'd be questioning whether I'd been sent the wrong seeds......
Don’t try to keep up with the Jones’s. They are broke!0 -

Yes, they do look a bit weird don't they.
I'd still wait til the second set of leaves open though.....

Wow yeah that does not look like lupins at all. Please make sure to post more pictures as it grows.0 -
Good luck....
Every time I plant Lupins, they have round leaves, then the real leaves and then most of them die off, leaving just a few plants for the garden.
Am clearly doing something wrong.0 -

Definitely not Lupins.
The seeds look like mirabilis jalapa (four o'clock plant), as do the seedlings.0 -
Yes not lupins I have some smaller seedlings than those and mine look like lupin seedlings - can't help you with what it is though!pvoutput.org/intraday.jsp?id=39350&sid=359520
