Now we just have to find her something to wear!
If she's up to going out for that, do you have a Debenhams near? They do those personal shopper sessions, if you booked one then your sis would be somewhere private, coffee served, discussion about what she'd like, and then the assistants do the running around. I believe other shops offer this too, just don't know which.

Actually any good dept store with a heart would probably organise this if it could, but I know Debenhams is set up for it, which not all of them would be.

I'm also going to put the alternative view: would she prefer NOT to go, but to send a recorded message to be played at the reception, and to have the whole thing recorded for her? it's even possible to do live webcasts these days, isn't it? Please don't flame me for this, I have sons, I was thrilled to have my very frail grandad at my own wedding, but I am not sure what I would want in this situation. What I wouldn't want is to go, and 'make a scene' during the ceremony because I felt too unwell.

But if she is feeling better then maybe that's not an issue.

Thanks Savvy_Sue, that's a brilliant idea about the personal shopper - I'll put it to her tomorrow and see how she feels about it. She is 'allowed' out of hospital for the day so it would be possible.

I had thought about the live webcast thing but wouldn't have a clue how to go about it. I'll look into it but at the moment the thought of maybe not being able to go to the wedding hasn't even crossed her mind bless her.

    thanks again x
