Is this fair?

Hi! Just looking for other peoples view on this. Lycra brand are running a competition to win a holiday and you had to upload a photograph of you in tights. They extended the entry time to the 6th of February and I entered early on this day, it was open all day and closed at midnight and it was one of those facebook apps where it tells you how long is left.

The terms say you have to gain 15 likes on your photograph in their Facebook gallery by 8th Feb (Today) by sharing your link with your friends and then those who got those 15 likes would be judged by the company. My photograph hasn't been added to the gallery at all. I am guessing it's because it is the weekend but don't see the point of them extending the competition if they were not going to give entries entered on that day a chance?

I have no way of getting even a single vote before tonight and if it did by chance get added later today it would probably be too late to get the votes in time. I spent a good few hours on my entry making things for it and there was nothing in my entry that was offensive or a reason not to upload it to the gallery.

I have sent them a few messages asking what has happened, my entry definitely went through as I had received a link and confirmation page (it was a link to my entry but went nowhere because it's meant to take a few hours to upload to the gallery) and I have searched the gallery for my name, I was told by someone they send you an email when they are live and I haven't had one.

'You have until next Friday 6th of February to upload your best #legfie, and until Sunday 8th to get the votes'

I would usually enter these type of things way in advance but didn't find this one till the day before. I know it is always a risk entering late but the timer did show that the competition was open all the way up until 11:59pm friday night and they made a point of extending the entry time to friday so I did think this would mean entries would be processed.

Next time I will never enter on the last entry day just in case but I still feel entries on the friday should have been given a chance or if there was a cut off point before the app timer they should have made that clear. I think the entries may have been manually approved which could explain it, they don't seem to post much on social media and haven't replied to my messages so I don't think they are there right now. Any views?

From the T&Cs it can take 72 hours

When each Participant submits his/her Entry, Contest Management, after reviewing to check that each uploaded photo meets all the requirements and specifications detailed in these Official Rules, will send a notification email to that Participant in the following 72 hours to inform him/her that either:

1) the Entry has been rejected from the Contest for failing to comply with any of the requirements set forth in these Official Rules.

2) the Entry is valid and entered into the Contest and provide him/her with the link(s) to his/her photo(s) in the Contest (hereinafter the “Link”).

The competition was posted on the forum on 26/01

Maybe they'll apologise as it isn't your fault and let you through to the next round. Please ensure that you let us have a link when it appears. I'm always up for liking pictures of women in tights.

Thanks for the t&c's, that makes me feel a little bit better about it all that nothing is off, it has been since around Friday morning, I guess that makes around 48+ hours but less than 72 so there is still time but I am doubtful.

Haha Maineblue, I wouldn't like to be put through because it does look like the terms cover it but I wish there was more time to get the 15 votes, maybe they should have gave a vote close date after 72 hours from friday to make sure all the entrants had their photos uploaded or closed the competition earlier but it's too late for that now I guess
