Redundancy payments and tax credits

Hi I got made redundant approx 1 year ago (happily working again), the company I worked for went into administration so I received statutory redundancy rp1 and rp2 statutory notice pay in lieu via the government schemes. The monies received received was well under the 30000 taxable limits therefore in our eyes this did not effect our child tax credits. My questions is this correct and tax credits do not need to take into account rp1 and rp2 payments if they are under the 30000 limits just worried we've missed something and are going to be penalised at a later date.
