Unfortunately pmg24 was not the person asking for advice.
Only darich has correctly read what was lightly, politely said - not patronisingly, not condescendingly, belittling no-one and writing with respect for people and language.
But perhaps Emma37 has forgotten her own post of recent days.
So you are able to criticise people for their incorrect use of grammar, but you have no problem spelling their name incorrectly?
Who is the pot calling the kettle black now?!!
ampersand, I was extremely offended by your comments, and clearly by the responses of others I am not the only one who found them wholly inappropriate.
I do not know what your problem is with Emma37, but in this particular thread, she has certainly written nothing to take offence to. You are the only person to have done that.
I respectfully ask that if you see anything posted by me again, please do not reply.Gone ... or have I?0 -

DMG it wasnt too long ago that you told a mother that a peado would materbate over a picture of her daughter, and that i was living life through rose tinted glasses for buying a new build after reminding me in a condisending fashion that i wouldn't be able to expect full price on the value of my kitchen appliances when i move out as they are "used".
Message here being that whilst ampersand might have pointed out something disagreeable on this post, lets not get too carried away with hammering people for irritating replies.
PS - i've deliberatly done a few spelling and grammer mistakes for the sake of it.
Anyway - back to the original post - Flossys.... I am surprised that Natwest would write to you to let you know they were going to apply the charge unless they had already done it, or where giving you notice to try and resolve the issue - what was the gap betwen the letter date and the interest coming out? Bearing in mind the post strike was only a 1 day delay? Seems a little unfair unless they gave you ample notice.I never missed a payment :T , I paid off all my credit cards :T , I paid of all my loans :T , i have a work mobile :T - but am now "medium" credit risk

To return to the OP:
The recent strikes only delayed delivery, items should still have turned up in the following days. You normally get a little notice of amounts being taken from your account by the bank.
However, if the notification has been lost in the post, you must surely have been expecting to be charged some amount of interest at around the time it was taken. It was the responsibility of the OP to have established what was due and when.

alant1000,
If someone asks for an opinion on a particular subject, then of course, people are open to give their views. This would be the case where Emma37 responded to a direct question on grammar, or where, in the instance that you quoted, there was a discussion on the pro's and con's of new build apartments. My other post that you referred to was regarding a mother who felt it ok to allow her 17 year old daughter to be in a calendar in barely any clothing.
However, people making nasty comments about someone's grammar (or anything on a personal level) whilst on a thread about something completely unrelated, is just rude. Making a post personal is not acceptable, particularly when we have no idea of each other's personal circumstances.
I am sorry to the OP for disrupting your thread, but I am very upset by the comments of ampersand and alant1000, when they have no idea of my own situation.Gone ... or have I?0 -

your comments were one of a nature that were, in the case of the teenage girl unnecessarily disgusting, regardless of of how true you felt it was, and in my case highly partonising which is something you clearly dont like being on the receiveing end of. Whilst i agree that the comments about your spelling were not really relevant (mines no better), considering there are occasions when you are below the belt unecessarily with your replies, i am just pointing out that you, too, should consider how others read into what you post, especially when they are degrading comments about peoples daughters which i am sure upset that mum every bit as much as this poster upset you.
Anyway, none of this is fair or relevant to the OP who wants ADVICE - so lets not dwell on it.I never missed a payment :T , I paid off all my credit cards :T , I paid of all my loans :T , i have a work mobile :T - but am now "medium" credit risk

On another thread someone posted saying "Shouldn't Martin Lewis' Money Saving Expert be Lewis's?" (Meaning that the apostrophe shouldn't come at the end). I replied saying they were correct, and that the apostrophe shouldn't be at the end of the word Lewis. I was agreeing with the OP, but Ampersand has taken this to mean that I was criticising someone's grammar. Unlike her/him I am not bad mannered enough to point out someone's incorrect grammar.
If someone has a problem and asks for advice on here that is what the replies should concentrate on. Ampersand has taken it onto a different tack by being ill-bred enough to point out mistakes in how the OP expressed himself.0
