Bank Forclosure threat

Hi
Recieved a letter this morning from Barclays stating that due to fraudulent activity on my account they will forclose by the end of August, great.
The fraudulent activity relates to someone paying in £1500 of waht turns out to be stolen money into my account without my knowledge or consent.
I have four accounts with barclays:
1. My current account - salary payments and general living expenses
2. My old student account - paying off slowly (its free) and processes payments for account 3... - also the one through which the stolen money was being processed - currently about £2K overdrawn
3. Career development loan - currently standing at about £6.5K
4. Joint account - takes mortgage repayments, bills and everything to do with the house.
I had contacted Barclays recently after noticing some funny stuff going on but heard nothing back from them. Then my card from the account in question got retained for "security purposes" by an ATM i was checking the account on. I phoned them but no one had any idea what was goin on. I left it with them and now this letter has turned up as the first contact. Phoned them up and they gave the explanation above. Phoned Head Office and requested an investigation and complaints procedure.
Whats the best thing I can do in this situation. I'm on holiday as of next week so would like to resolve this sooner rather than later.
