Opinion - Book holiday now OR last minute?

Hi Folks
Wanting to book a holiday but I am unsure of what to do. Do I book my holiday now? or do I wait last minute?
Am wanting to go to Egypt at the beginning of July for 2 week. Any advise gratefully received.
Thanks in advance.

    Book it now.
    Have a beer/glass of wine
Chillax and congratulate yourself at arranging a holiday in Egypt that you'll love.

If you have seen a hotel you want at a price that suits you, go for it. You could be left with the accommodation no-one else wants if you leave it to the last minute.

Well, if you wait to book last minute you run the risk of the price rising or the rooms/flight selling out.

Or you could get a really good deal.

I'd book it now, then I'm not in limbo for the next few months.

And if you book now, you have the added bonus of weeks of anticipation! Plus I like to follow my chosen hotel on Trip Advisor and contribute to the forums. All adds to the fun.

If I weren't tied to specific dates, didn't mind which airport I flew from, which resort or hotel I stayed in, I'd possibly wait.

You run the risk of not getting your first choice & there is no guarantee that the price will go down.

It depends entirely on your situation. Do you have any specific needs for your hotel or flight times etc? for example kids clubs, close to airport etc?

If yes, then find your holiday at a good price and book it now.

If no, then I'd suggest waiting. Being realistic, Egypt is not a big seller at the moment and there's usually a good amount of last minute deals to be had. Egypt also isn't a massive seller in July / August as it's very hot and there's plenty of other places to choose from at that time of year. Start of July is not the main summer holidays (although it is in Scotland I think so if you're departing from there you might need to rethink).

I would think it's likely that you could get a good last minute deal from a tour operator or high street travel agent, but i'd also be open to the fact that you might not get exactly what you are looking for too.
