Looking for a battery for my laptop, but seems hard to find. What do I do?

thanks mate !!

part of the problem is the spot-solder joints they use to connect the battery terminals to the rails  but also the construction of the casings. The last lot I did were Dell, looked okay, pop-tabs around the casing, but they'd used very strong double-sided tape INSIDE to virtually glue the whole lot together - the tape was far stronger than the plastic housing......
He used a battery from an HP, don't recall him having much trouble dismantling it. (He can easily break a 13T digger :rotfl:)Move along, nothing to see.0 -
I have bought spare laptop batteries from ebay and never had a problem.
Can you clue me up on what the difference is between 4400mAh and 7720mAh, is this just how long the battery will last?
I'm not very knowledgable about these things. It won't harm my laptop in any way if i were to purchase the higher mAh, will it?0 -
Be careful ordering non-OEM batteries (cheap Chinese stuff)
I'd do it for a digital camera or ANY low power device, but I would urge you to look up "laptop battery fire"on Youtube BEFORE making a purchase.
LI-ION and LI-PO batteries are not to be taken lightly, the slightest overcharge and they can turn very nasty very quickly indeed.
The cheap ones may not have a thermal protection circuit, they may also be of a lower quality and less able to handle the same voltage as a genuine OEM part.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

My bold, no it will not harm your lappy
The mAh figure is how long it will continue to supply 1 milliamp or multiples thereof
Thus 4400 one will supply for less time than 7720, ie the larger 7700 will last longer between charges, it has nothing to do with potential life of the batteryWhen an eel bites your bum, that's a Moray0
