Looking for a battery for my laptop, but seems hard to find. What do I do?

Hi guys, basically my laptop battery needs replacing, but I'm having a hard time finding places online where I can order another one. There are a few links which look promising at first glance, but then have aren't the model no I'm looking for.
I have a samsung NP-RV511 laptop. I bought it about 4/5 years ago but now the battery notification is saying it needs replacing. Would my next best option be to go to a computer shop and see if they can order one in? I just don't want to get ripped off.

A hard time finding them?
Amazon have them as do ebay and several other sites. From less than £13 to about £300 -

Yeah, but I don't know if they're genuine or the correct batteries. I am dubious ordering from amazon due to the amount of con artists out there.
I've seen only this one with a couple of the exact specs.

And this site have them, but that's a lot of money for a battery.

Bought battery for my Samsung RV510 from Amazon for £14 and it's still OK 9 months later.0

What do you think about the links I posted? Do they both seem like genuine suppliers? I just don't want to have to mess around sending it back if it isn't correct.0 -
I have bought spare laptop batteries from ebay and never had a problem.0

I've heard that all laptop batteries are made of 18650 cells... I've always wondered how easily it would be to dismantle the existing battery and replace the cells.
Probably not a good idea... and probably impossible without a hacksaw and a few reels of duct-tape to hold the butchered thing together(!), but I've always wondered...0 -

There are companies who do just that for industrial domestic including computer batteries see for instance here0 -

I use reclaimed laptop battery pack 18650s on my e-cigs...nightmare to dismantle, and forget putting them back together again afterward, you'd need several layers of duct tape, then they wouldn't fit the lappy again......Gettin' There, Wherever There is......

Bodger!
(I gave a workmate my old laptop batteries, he used the 'good' 18650s to make a night sight from instructions he found on the internet).:eek:Move along, nothing to see.0 -

thanks mate !!
part of the problem is the spot-solder joints they use to connect the battery terminals to the rails  but also the construction of the casings. The last lot I did were Dell, looked okay, pop-tabs around the casing, but they'd used very strong double-sided tape INSIDE to virtually glue the whole lot together - the tape was far stronger than the plastic housing............Gettin' There, Wherever There is......
