Tax Credits in Dispute.....

Options
Hi all..... Help :-)

My partner has a tax credit overpayment that is currently in dispute, she has been advised on numerous occasions that she has done everything in the correct manner (including offering to pay the entire amount back when it first came through only to be told that she was entitled to it) however it has now been passed to a debt collection agency even though the dispute decision has not yet been reached.
When my partner called the debt collection agency to advise that it was still in dispute they told her that she still needed to make contributions towards the debt and that she had to provide income/expenditure details for both of us (even though the 'debt' is solely in her name and came about before we were together).
We are thinking of contacting the CAB to discuss this with them but if anyone has any advice it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
