Know a good hotel in Stockholm?

Hopefully travelling to Stockholm for our 10th wedding anniversary in June, never been before and have no ideas for hotels. Going on a Friday, back Sunday evening so only two night stay. Would like somewhere special (because of occasion) but not astronomically expensive. Also we're landing at Svegsta airport, and don't know about transfers to Stockholm. Any ideas anybody?
Thanks in advance.

Went to Stockholm two weeks ago. Stayed at the Quality Hotel Prince Phillip about 8 miles from the city centre. Found it on lastminute.com as a special offer. Not particularly romantic but comfortable and close to the metro station. Also across the road from the worlds biggest IKEA but I doubt whether you will be interested in that! I was actually planning to stay on Langholmen (before I found the lastminute deal) which is an island within walking distance (20 minutes) of the city centre. It is the old prison which has been converted into a hotel/youth hostel. Went to have a look and will definitely stay there next time. https://www.langholmen.com. Dont know if it is particularly romantic but definitely different. The rooms are converted cells.

Thanks, I'll take a look at the hotels you mentioned. Not sure about staying in a prison though!

I Used to live in Sweden and visited Stockholm a couple of times and i stayed in a Really nice hotel in the centre of Stockhol near to the Theatre but i am trying to remember the name of it, Sweden is a beautiful clean country with lovely clean air but it is rather expensive compared to the UK but has got better with the exchange rate being favourable to us with the £1

here is a link with some hotels and if i can find the name i stayed at i will let you know.

perhaps get a ferry across to Estonia whilst you are in Stockholm, something i never got chance to do, but apparently it is great.

    Enjoy
