Listing Duration

Always thought that if I listed an item for the duration 'good till cancelled' then that was what it meant. However have realised that it is only lasting for one month and then when automatically relisting then it comes off my remaining monthly allowance. (Meaning quite costly if I have used it all).
So question is - is this correct and if so then should I just list for 30 days and then relist when monthly allowance is available ??

Are you sure it comes off your monthly allowance when it is automatically relisted? When my 30 day listings come to an end and they are automatically listed (1 free automatic listing - used to be 3 some time back), it doesn't come off my monthly allowance.0

GTC renews every 30 days and is charged at every 30 day point. It is not the same as an automatic relist that some people have on a special offer.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. You just have to remember to allow for the GTC s listings each month. If for instance you are using a basic shop and have your 200 listings you need to be aware when the GTCs will renew when listing new stock

I'd be more inclined (if I had time) to let items end then relist. If the item has had bad sales and is low in search then "relist" using "sell similar" and not following relist, that way it gets a new footprint..0
