Poundseller: a new alternative?

Just came across Poundseller via a RT from a follower on Twitter.

Looks very basic but with some items on it.

Anyone else come across it?

Any success from it?

First item to sell is free so nothing to lose I guess....

They must have been around for a while as they are at least a couple of years out of date with their eBay costs. Things like photos- they say only one pic is free on eBay when in fact you get 12. listing fees are wrong as is the reserve fee- in fact it appears to be completely made up.

The only thing to suggest they are new is that nothing is listed except for a handful of magazines and several thousand DVDs.

At least it is different from most out of the box eBay alternatives, this one only needs people to list for the owners to make money.

The other odd thing is that if you click BIN it goes through to a retailer like PC World or a place I've never heard of called Gamesseek who are listing things that are out of stock

    All very strange

Doesn't look very new, website expires in May. It looks like they started about 4 years ago, all the Ebay comparison details are out of date. It sounds like someone got excited about setting it up then gave up.

Not that odd, they're just using it as an affiliate site now.
It's actually quite a clever trick if they had any kind of momentum to it.
Rather than having a site with no items in any categories they have listed items from other websites and get a fee if any sell. As for selling on it, that ship has sailed, if it ever actually went to sea.
