Basically you just follow the instuctions, and the tool will check for viruses, spyware, and will clean up your pc, of unneccesary temporary files.
This virus check doesnt Install anything on your computer, and its available anytime of the day and you can use it as many times you want.
Its useful for people without Internet Security, who want to protect their computer. and remove viruses / spyware from their computer
And its quite up to date to, knowing all the latest viruses, which it can detect

no it doesnt, all it does is downloads the tools so it can check your pc, and then does the scan on the same window,
and if you need to check your computer again in the future, you would have to go through the same procedure, by downloading the tools, but it doesnt install any thing permanent0 -

Its not spam, some of the ops claims may be false but its a legit microsoft program, however if you are going to risk your security to online scans then there are much better options.
Bit Defender might be a good place to start. I would seriously recommend a trip over to the tech board for some sensible advice on protecting your PC for free if you have no protection though0
