Oh I know - this happened to me. Took me ages to work out why I had a giant mug in with my daughter's swimming costume.0

I unticked the box for the mug and was still sent one. I checked and I was never charged for it0

I also wondered why i had a giant mug in my online order when it arrived. I never saw the tick box or any mention of a mug when checking out online -i guess that is what sports dircet are hoping for, more customers like me not noticing before purchase, or checking the invoice when your order arrives.
A very sneaky £1 sale with every online purchase and a great way for them to get rid of the stupidly sized ugly mugs! Finally dealing with debt: 01.01.2015 -£10,562.:(

Read the page,it is as clear as day and you have the option to not add it to the order!!!.
I think that you are the one that should "Read the page".
The box for buying the mug and magazine are pre-ticked and if you don't untick it, Sports direct take the payment
This practice is now illegal under S40 of the Consumer contracts (Information, cancellation and additional charges) regulations.Additional payments under a contract
40.
(1) Under a contract between a trader and a consumer, no payment is payable in addition to the remuneration agreed for the trader’s main obligation unless, before the consumer became bound by the contract, the trader obtained the consumer’s express consent.
(2) There is no express consent (if there would otherwise be) for the purposes of this paragraph if consent is inferred from the consumer not changing a default option (such as a pre-ticked box on a website).
Everyone who has this happen to them should contact SD and tell them that as the payment was taken unlawfully, you wish for it to be returned.0 -
Oh god not this....yet again!!!!.

The general demographic of a sports direct shopper rather unnapealing to say the least.
Much like the demographic of the sorts of people who read the sun and the daily star!!!!!!
Nothing wrong with shopping at Sports Direct, they sell reasonable quality sports gear at a reasonable price. (Just don't fall for the potentially misleading marketing )
Think your post says more about your prejudices than anything else.0 -
