quick question .I own 10% of my late parents house .
There was (legal) but underhand dealings done over my mothers life insurance .Basically 5 people paid the insurance ,2 where beneficiaries and it was divided up amongst 4 ,not the 5 who paid .
It has now come time to sell the house I have been told via email that it is sale agreed .I wasn't consulted on the price or even if I agreed the sale price .They have refused to tell me who the buyer is ,apart from its a first time buyer .
It is assumed we will be using the family solicitor ,but I don't trust my siblings and would like to use my own ,is this possible .

Firstly you need to go back a few steps....Is your name actually on the land registry as a registered owner? How many of your siblings are named as registered owners?
If you are a registered owner your signature will be required to sell. The way you have written your message it would seem that you and your siblings don't get along. But, yes, you can use your own solicitor.
Is there a sold sign outside the house? This will tell you which agent has sold it. Or look on right move if theres no board."Put the kettle on Turkish, lets have a nice cup of tea.....no sugars for me.....I'm sweet enough"0
