Daughter Aged 3 to have two teeth out, Can't believe it has this happened to anyone?

DS1 had to have 5 teeth out at aged 5. I don't think I was very strict with sweets, but it definitely wasn't a free for all. However, I can't say that his teeth were brushed properly, and eventhough he is 8 now, I still have a go at his teeth once or twice a week now.
We have managed to keep all the other bad teeth in his mouth, except 1, which is being removed in Sept. It has gone so far, we just can't keep it in any longer (not that there is much left of it).
DS2 has had his teeth looked after a little better, but I still have my eye on his two bottom eye teeth. Imagine they will need fillings at his next appointment, which I have already made, which is December. I was gobsmacked !0 -
One of my daughters had a couple of teeth out at that age. The dentist was really angry with my ex, telling her that she shouldn`t have given DD sweets etc. Then twin sis sat down and had perfect teeth. The dentist apologised to my ex and said that we should regard the first daughter as being `allergic to sugar`. He was lucky my ex didn`t flatten him.0

My oldest had bad reflux issues and he's had to have several out, as his brother eats about the same things, was fed the same way and his teeth are cared for in the same way I can only think that this would have caused the problems as his brother didn't have a reflux problem. One day I might be more organised...........

Do you use milk toothpaste? if so and you live in an area that doesn't add floride to the water? if so then you should use adult toothpaste. kids toothpaste has very little floride in it and this can cause all sorts of problems in kids teeth.0

My niece had problems with her baby teeth and had to have some out at an early age, they said it was a combination of enamel not forming properly and love of fruit. She's 13 now and got her adult teeth sealed as soon as they came in and hasn't had any problems.Mortgage OP 2026 £860/2000Mortgage balance: £31,763

Hi, on thursday, I left the dentists in fury!I had to take my 2 DS's aged 14 and 8.The 8 year old had to have his teeth sealed and a flouride rinse as he has soft enamel. However my 14 year old, has to have an extraction as he has for quite a while now (literally as soon as he bacame a teenager!) neglected his teeth of a night time.I can't tell you the amount of times I have had battles with him on the subject!Well, the dentist told me I neglected my 14 year old and I need to change my diet and stop feeding him coke!I was fuming as not only do I not drink fizzy drinks, but he did'nt even ask me what my diet was.
He continued to imply that I neglected my 14 year old but not the 8 year old!!! It beggars belief at the arrogance of some people. He did'nt once take into consideration that maybe the difference in their teeth was due to the fact, that one clearly is able to eat what he likes of a school lunch/break ect ,while the other is still bound by what I give him.:A Your Always in my heart, you never ever will be forgotten-9/9/14:heart2:0
