Energy Price Cap announcement: Watch Martin Lewis explain what it means for your electricity and gas bills this winter

Hot water pressure help needed.

Quick bit of background. Combi boiler in airing cupboard upstairs, header tank in loft. Two upstairs bathrooms, kitchen and WC downstairs.

Just had a new bathroom fitted, bath, sink and toilet in the same place. Have had a thermostatic shower added above the bath with the feed taken from the pipes that feed the bath taps.
The only other change is a 1500mm towel radiator instead of a standard radiator, this has been moved to another wall, no more than a 2 foot move.

Since the above the hot water pressure has reduced by around 30% on all showers and taps in the whole house.
I've checked all stop cocks are fully open.

Can anyone guess why and maybe point out a fix?

  • You can't have a header tank if you have a combi boiler as the water runs from the rising main and the central heating system fills from the same via a filling loop either on the boiler or below it.
Have you checked the isolation valve under the boiler for the incoming cold water supply?

will have to check the loft then.
