Which drill set out of 2 and why?

1K Posts
I've decided to buy one or other of these drill sets. So please don't tell me to buy a different set. But which one should I buy?

No,
The difference is the difference between Ni-cad batteries and Li-ion's
I'd go for the three tool set up, but thats just me, my nicads are still going strong after years of "careful" use
Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)
Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed
I had the same set for probably 5 years before the batteries had it and I switched to li-ion, but that's trade use, if they're for diy and you look after them they'll probably go further.
The 1st set will have enough power to drill a 32mm hole through a 75mm thick piece of oak, the 2nd set wouldn't.
My plumber mate uses a 14.4v drill for drilling walls for the fixings when installing boilers, radiators and pipework, but switches to the 2nd set in your list for putting-in the screws.

Hmm I'm a plumber and I wouldn't use either really.
Neither are powerful enough for any wall other than thermolite block or plaster board. The 10v ones don't last long enough charge wise for too much use.
OP if you have to go for any go for the first choice.

Personally I wouldn't buy either and would go for an 18V Li-Ion
